Depression and Anxiety Counseling
There are many different reasons as to why people experience Depression and Anxiety. Not all of them require medication. While medications can have a very useful place in the treatment of certain types of Depression and Anxiety, there are many ways that Depression and Anxiety can be successfully treated without the use of any medication.
Learn to experience joy again. Let go of old fears and barriers and live with passion. Learn to replace self-destructive thoughts or habits with self-empowering thoughts and habits. Depression can often be described as an illness of Perception, and Anxiety is linked to, focusing on the “future”.
I meet with my clients to assess their history of Depression and Anxiety, as well as their overall history. From there I create a treatment plan to specifically provide you with the tools that you will need to begin to address and decrease your Depression and Anxiety. The most helpful approaches that I have found to be most effective in Depression and Anxiety Counseling include both Cognitive (of the thought process), and Behavioral (practicing new behaviors).
